Default 6.5TD fuel system issues

94 6.5 TD w 152k miles. I have already replaced the lifter pump, remote mounted PMD, changed filters several times, and replaced fuel lines.
I am having issues w stalling out and starting. The service engine soon light comes on and off, and seems to do it when I give fuel and when idling, and turns off about 1500rpms.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually dont know what that test is. As I said, I am no mechanic. However it seems to me that if fuel is passing through the filter and at least up to the bleed valve, that is proof enough for me that the lift pump is working because if it was not, opening that valve would decompress the vacuum and there would be no fuel flow. I am pretty certain that it has to be beyond that fuel bleed valve. Besides I can hear the lift pump.

if you start the truck and open the t-valve the truck should stay running if it dies it one or two things bad LP or bad OPS other way to see if OPS bad put 12volt right to the LP and see if it say running

I appreciate the input. As I said, the lift pump is working well, and it was just replaced. I have positive fuel flow at the t valve. So what is next?

I imagine that these issues are actually still possible problems, but get this, that super awesome better than stock pmd i had remote mounted over to the fender well...it failed. i had a hunch i should reconnect the old pmd which is still in the original mounted position on the pump, and presto! It worked. So, now I need to see where exactly the failure is, if it is the tether, or the box itself. or there was some little diode type of thingie that needed to go on the new pmd, and maybe it failed. either way, at face value it seems to be the pmd. So, i will try to locate the failure and remount to the radiator or bumper. in Phx those bumpers get pretty hot though! I may even set a remote fan under the pmd heatsink.

Default SAME FUEL SYSTEM, NEW ISSUE

I got it to run as I mentioned, but then the service soon light came on again. So, I tried to start it one morning, and as has happened before I forgot it was a diesel and forgot to let the glow plug warm up, and started it. After that she would just not start. I drained some fuel even though it looked clear, and pulled the filter and drained out and wiped the inside of the fuel filter. I did not have another one with me, but she started and ran ok as long as I was on the gas. At idle she stalls out now, but no light shows except for the occasional light flicker of the water in fuel light. So, I ran the tank almost completely dry and added 3 gal of fuel to get it to the filling station. I filled it up w Shell #2 Diesel and poured in some Diesel Klean. Then she stalled out on me immediately. She started right up, but ran a bit crappy. Eventually she was running strong again. This morning she stalled on me twice while idling. So, I just replaced the fuel filter and she seems to run ok right now at idle. The other filter only had like 300 miles on it and it looked good actually. Are they just giving us crappy fuel or something maybe? Ideas, thoughts?
