idk about the 5spd but they did/do have a 6spd manual allison.
of course only in the newer duramax trucks never in the 6.5's

they do have 5 and 6 speed allison trannys but there automatics. they never made manual transmissions. there are manual duramaxs but thats a ZF6 tranny. and the 5 speed manual that 6.5 came with were NV5600 i think not 100% sure.

6.2/6.5 diesel/allison auto
I think you could order it, you can order anything you want from the factory, you just have to be willing to pay for it. And most 6.5's had NV4500's, or maybe the Allison auto, ya never know. The NV5600 is a 6-speed that was in Cummins trucks.
