that tube coming off the front of the intake is to silence the turbo. a lot of people remove and plug the hole for more turbo noise.... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Thanks for that Fast. Ok, so i replaced the PMD on Friday, worked fine on my drive. Would have posted sooner but I did not have internet access where I was. About half way home on my drive today had the same problem. Did not go into limp mode on this drive but still hiccups around 2500 in 4th. Any more suggestions would be useful. It seemed that today it didn't do anything until it heated up. I have to pick a friend up at the airport tonight so I will post up if it happens right away or after heat up tonight

Thanks again.

good news is now I have the ses light. I'll get some codes this weekend

?? Did you relocate the PMD? If not it would be a good idea to go ahead and do so, apparently heat kills these things.

apperently chevy and gmc dealer sell pmd like chocolate in a candy store... the source a read was pretty well credited... said they were 100% to fail. makes you wonder how they make vehicles these days... government consperacy maybe?

Bad news all around... No new codes showing up, just the PO236 and 238. However, the 238 code showed up under pending codes on the scanner. So if I understand it correctly, thats what was tripping the ses light. Any more suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

alrihty, update time. Got home today, boost sensor installed, went for a drive, same problem. Any more suggestions would be helpful. Could this be a result of me adding a #9 resistor when I added te PMD. Maybe more fuel generating to much boost causing the ecm to defuel??? If this is a possiblilty how can I get around this problem??

Too bad I don't know as much about the 6.5's as I do the 5.9 common rails. Sorry guy.

every number you go up in resistors the fuel output goes up by.5mm3 of fuel. thats equal to about 2 to 3 horsepower. nothing you can feel and nothing the computer will defuel the engine for.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

why dont you install a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure when you lose boost

I think as of now I'm just going to deal with the problem as it is and wait till something worse happens. Just one more question, I had the truck sitting over the summer while I was working on the bumper, which took quite a while since my work bench was a hay wagon... Any way something could have happened tothe ecm since it was sitting, the batteries were disconnected for an extended period of time.
Thanks again

highly unlikely. did you store it in a place with no moisture. all that happens is that the computer relearns how you drive after its been sitting
