Default 6.5 wont fire

Back again. A little back round on this issue. I got the truck from a trusted family friend. Truck sat for 3 years but ran when it was parked. Squirle chewed up wiring harness and truck had no fuel in it.
I repaired harness and replaced glow plugs. Got it to start for a few seconds then nothing. I found that the lines at the top of my sending unit was rusted out and my lift pump was failing intermently. I repaired both.
No I have good pressure to the injector pump. And fuel at the injectors. Truck blows black smoke with strong odor while trying to start but just won't fire. I pulled the injector pump And had it tested. It rest good.
What am I missing?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you change the fuel filter(s)? Fresh fuel? Was the fuel tank empty when you got the truck (old rancid fuel)? Clean out the tank and hard lines? Replace rubber fuel lines (where applicable)? Does it have dual fuel tanks with a fuel selector valve? (stuck or plugged fuel selector valve possible)

I replaced all the lines. Only 1 tank and fresh fuel was put in. What it seams like to me is injector pump ain't producing enogh presser to open injectors. But pump bench tested fine.

Age and location of PMD? If it's still on the IP get a new PMD and relocation kit and put it behindthe front bumper behind license plate and with the electronic injected you always need a spare PMD on hand.

The PMD controls the fuel to the injectors.

I don't know how old it is. It has been relocated though. Dose any one know a way to test them. I will get one for a spare but right know I don't have the money to do trial and error.

The only way to test the PMD is to replace it with a known good one......sorry I know this isn't the answer you are looking for but it's the only answer.
