1992 6.5 is stuck at 2500-3000 rpm when I start it and won't shut off? help plz

Default 1992 6.5 is stuck at 2500-3000 rpm when I start it and won't shut off? help plz

I turned my fuel screw up 1/4 turn. Started jt and engine went nuts so I cut the fuel line on top the injection pumo to shut off the truck.
Then I turned the screw down alittle and went to start it again. But it started then sat around 2500-2800 rpm. When I turn the key to the off position the idle drops to around 2200-2300 rpm.
The first time I took it apart in the hole were the power screw is was a tiny spring, when I put it back together I 100% put the spring back. When I took it apart the second time there was no spring and the pump had no diesel in it

Anyone know what I can do to make this thing run? It worked fine b4, shouldn't have touched it

LP is the Lift pump it is located inside the drivers side frame rail Looks like a fuel filter But has 2 wires coming out of it Run a wire from the G terminal in the ALDL or OBD I port under the dash to the positive terminal on a battery with the T valve opened fuel will come out of the hose attached to it if not replace LP get AC/DELCO only anything else is junk no matter how much cheaper it is and it sounds like fuel cut off solenoid is sticking you need to run 2 Stroke motor oil with your fuel A 1/2 to 1 ounce per gallon of fuel is a good measure as the ULSD that is sold nowadays is way to dry and hard on our IPs (Injection Pump) And I have no Idea what Red wire you are talking about I would say there are a bunch of red wires on these trucks

Its trying to run it did the first time really bad I smoked out the hole street when the power screw was turned up. Now it just sits at 2600. And thank you ill try that.

And do you know how did I make all the happen by turning up fuel screw and any idea about the little spring in the hole that disappeared.

I mean like "runaway" not running in general....
Throttle linkage returning?

Well the first time it ran away really bad because I think I turned mt fuel screw past 1/4 turn and broke something from that?
