1998 Chev 6.5L shuts down while driving. Any suggestions as to what to check

Failing PMD?
Bad ignition switch?

Does the instrument cluster die during a stall but radio and blower motor keep working-ignition switch likely.
They are multi contact switches that can fail on 1 circuit but not the rest-especially if a lot of accessories have been added.
