What holds the line in to the fitring on the block? Mine came off7hrs from home, now i have a screwdriver wedged between it and the exhaust so i can limp home... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Default 93, 6.5 oil cooler lines question?

What holds the line in to the fitring on the block? Mine came off7hrs from home, now i have a screwdriver wedged between it and the exhaust so i can limp home

Some kind of spring clip, really lame set up. I ordered some new lines for mine:


The Dorman replacements are not very good, don't last long.

Status: familiar with the 6.5 and then some

There is a plastic retainer that holds the lines in the fittings on the block.

Get rid of the stock setup and go with Leroy Diesel or Lubrication Specialists oil cooler/line kit.

DSG also makes a kit but more expensive.
