Any Antique Experts Out Here
I also have some antiques I'm tired of havin layin around and don't have a clue what to do with them or finding out a value. Some Civil War letters, a music box from the mid 1800's that plays cork rolls that I also have a few of, an old box radio that still works, and who knows what else.

Got some of this stuff pulled out tonight. Wow, I didn't know what I was siitin on for some of this. I thought it was a couple of civil war letters. Turns out to be the whole wars worth of letters from one family to each other, along with a photo and a soldier handbook that he carried. Some other trinkets in the box also but that one stopped me in my tracks. A whole war time diary of history for this guy in letters to his family.
I also found the music box. As near as I can tell it works, but I'm not messin with to much here either. It looks to be in good shape, just dusty with 5 of what you called cob's with it. The newspaper they are rolled in is dated 1949, so that's probably the last time this thing was pulled out. It also has an advertising paper with it that calls it "The Wonderfull Home Music Box" It's from Standard Manufacturing Co. Prcing it at $6.00 and it list all the music available for it at the time.
