More I think about it the more I get mad
More I think about it the more I get pissed about the dealings I had with James O'Neal Dodge.Has anyone had this happen to them?Go test drive a truck,Runs great looks good.Get all the info to go to your bank and get financing.Spend the next 5 days going to a couple banks and Credit unions while the inquiries mount up on your credit report while getting financing. Finally get it but when you contact the dealership they say they had to replace the injection pump so the price is now 2000 more than the original price. Now the asking price is over what the blue book.On top of that their ad for the truck is fraudulent since they state the price WAS 17,994(said 15,994 before the repair). The truck was never priced at that to begin with since they just got it in stock and was always priced at the "Now price" listed on the site.Just pisses me off that they jerked me around like that and then when I tell them what I got at the bank they tell me tough.Take the 15 grand asking(plus another grand for DOC and tax).

The part that pisses me off is they waited till after I had financing to tell me the price went up.They had already called me a few days before to see if I had talked to the banks so they knew I was trying to buy it.When I got the Email from them about the repair and price hike I checked their site(They didn't tell me the price in the Email....just that they had to increase the price) they had already changed it so it wasn't a sudden thing. Each time you do a loan request, your Credit report takes a hit and it makes it harder the next time.

Did the pump really fail, or was that just a lie in order to get the 'live one' to pay more? Sounds totally shady to me. I wouldn't buy it on principle, even if they dropped the price 5k. As Gunman said, there's plenty of other Dodges out there. And if you've got the financing all ready to go, you're now a cash buyer.
