Default Loosing A Pet

Well I went out to my folks house yesterday with my daughter to meet a guy that was buying a seat from me. While I was out there I couldnt find my dog so I asked my dad to keep an eye open for him. He called me later and told me he didnt see him. Well I called back today at lunch and he told me he found him over the hill laying by a tree like he had layed down to go to sleep but he was dead. It was really hard on me since I've had him since 94. The only thing that came out of the whole deal was I didnt have to burry him since dad and my brother did it. Its going to be hard for me to go out there now since he always met me when I was getting out of the truck. I guess the pup has some big paw prints to fill now.

I'm sorry man, I've lost a few good dogs here in the past few years, even a Boss Hogg, he was rotty pup, some sorry dogs led him to the road, and as the old saying goes, the mutts never get hit. I say go to the pound and get another.

I'm just tired of loosing ****. I dont have much left to loose anymore. My brother brought home a pup right before thanksgiving that he could care less about so he will probably let me have him. He will have some big paw prints to fallow. That was the best dog I've ever had.

growing up on the farm I always distanced myself from that cause I never had any real attachment to them cause they were all strays that we took in and sometimes they would get hit, some would wonder off, and some would get stolen........i have had a few that were good dogs though.......sorry to hear about your loss Andy.....

Sorry to hear about your loss. A dog is just like a member of the family. Putting my last dog to sleep was the hardest thing I have had to do. I thought I would not ever want a dog again, but about a year later I was looking again. Now I ahve 2 more and love them. Dogs are the best companions.

It is going to hurt and that is normal. It will get better with time. Just remember, your dogs greatest joy was spending time with you. That is why he would run to meet you. You gave him what he wanted and took care of him. Remember the good times.

That's too bad, Andy. It's never been an easy thing for me to go through. They become such a huge part of your life. Ours are getting older now (both just turned 11) and we know that time is short. Not looking forward to it at all.
