Alright, 3 guy's check into a hotel and the room is $30 so each guy pays $10. They head up to the room to have a couple cold ones. The front desk realize they overcharged the men so they send the bellman up to their room with $4 that they overcharged. Well they decided each guy would take a $1 back and give one to the Bellman for bringing it up to the room. Now heres the problem each guy paid $10 but got a dollar back so they each paid $9 and the Bellman has one. 9x3= 27+1=28 where is the other $2 They started with $30

the correct price is $26(cause the price was 30 and send 4 back 30-4=26), add in the 3 dollars for the guys and 1 one dollar for the bellmen and you get 30 dollars........that was simple........

i dont see how im wrong......they are overcharged 4 dollars, which makes it 26......split the returned money 3 ways and give the bellman 1, that equals 4, add 4 to 26 and that makes 30....seems to work out fine for me.......i dont care what they ask in the riddle, that is the right solution.....
