I've heard of these for a few decades , I am of the opinion that they could work , have seen them in gas stations to keep underground tanks from rusting .
Seen adds of the Speed Channel , Two Guys Garage .
But then with so much of the market full of BS , its hard to trust any more these days , I looked at your links , for $400 it may work but I think the price is a rip .
So no real info for ya , also posting to see , its too late for my truck .

its a basic cathodic protection device meant for cars and trucks, up here at Canadian Tire they are about $167.00

They will work to an extent...

They claim it works as well as for pipe but it wont counteract salt, just moisture....

So it'll help "dry up" moisture which may have the side effect of preventing rust but can't battle the chemical reaction between metal and salt?

Interesting.

It will slow down the chemical reaction of oxidation, salt of course speeds up the same reaction, so it wont stop it, but will slow it down....

Q: Does CounterAct interfere with a vehicle's computers, radios, etc.?

A: CounterAct produces relatively low energy pulses of DC (Direct Current), and shares a common ground with the vehicle body. CounterAct systems have been tested and approved under both U.S. and Australia/N.Z. EMC standards.

Q: Will CounterAct drain my battery?

A: CounterAct draws only a tiny amount of current, less than an average digital clock. (under 50 milliamps).

Q: Will CounterAct work with spray on rustproofing?

A: CounterAct works either as a stand alone method or as an enhancement for coatings. Just make sure that CounterAct's capacitive couplers are not installed over existing rustproofing.

Q: Will CounterAct affect existing galvanizing?

A: CounterAct produces an anti-oxidation effect on metal surfaces. Your galvanizing should actually last longer as oxidation is reduced.

Q: Will CounterAct affect my paint?

A: CounterAct has been shown in lab tests to reduce the undercutting of paint chips and scratches by as much as 80%, Accordingly small chips don't spread as quickly to form large rust blisters.

Q: My car already has some rust - will CounterAct help?

A: CounterAct has been proven to slow the corrosion rate in painted automotive grade steel and can slow the spread of existing rust. Naturally, it's best that any vehicle body rust should be repaired at the earliest possible opportunity.

Q: Can I transfer my CounterAct system in the event that I purchase a new vehicle?

A: CounterAct is easily transferable to another vehicle. You may need to contact your CounterAct agent to arrange the transfer or to purchase replacement capacitive couplers.

Q: How long will CounterAct last?

A: Because CounterAct uses solid state technology with no moving parts and is epoxy encapsulated it's built tough and it's life is indefinite.

Q: Is there any danger from electrical shock?

A: The output of the CounterAct system is measured in microamperes and the electrostatic surface charge produced by CounterAct is less than the normal static charge, that can accumulate on your vehicle body during normal driving conditions.
