Question How many miles are too many for an ATV??

Well guys, i think I'm going to talk the wife into us getting an ATV for snow removal, I had a Polaris Sportsman 500 HO about 8 years ago and really liked it. I have found a few 700 sportsmans with 3500 miles on them.. does that seem like a lot? i am sure that ball joints and tie rods are going to wear but what do ya think? itd be mainly for plowing snow and putzing to and from our local lake, about 1 mile away.

Hope you have a good two stage or single for the wet heavy stuff... And IMO 3500 is alot, I bought mine with 68 the guy never used it except to hunt. I love mine for plowing but like I said the wet stuff proves to be an issue.

not 100% what year or what engine size, gonna buy it in a few weeks. im wondering if a 500 is going to be enough snort for plowing? should i look for a 600,700, or 800? im guessing that you plow in 4 low...

a 500 is plenty, but a big bore quad makes it alil more fun and easier def utilize 4 low while pushing or working the quad alot easier on the ctv

Just plow it in stages, 4to6 inches at a time makes it alot easier plus means more play time don't tell her that though

Ya 3,500 isn't bad at all for milage, was just curious how many years it took to get that. I would think a 500 should do fine..maybe just a bit slower
