Default Help! Trying to get rid of musty airflow

Every time I turn the a/c or even just the vents and turn the fan on in my car, the air that blows out smells musty. I try to always turn the a/c, vent, etc off before I shut the car off, but still it got musty. I replaced the air filter, and then tried spraying vinegar down there, and into the vents, and still it is musty.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of the problem?

when you say air filter im assuming you mean the cabin air filter?

Get some of those odor absorbing shoe inserts they sell for hiking books and whatnot and throw one in each vent for about a week, should take care of the smell for now...but if you have something growing in there it will come back.

On the 1st gens, we cut a hole in the air distribution plenum and clean them out. Other wise what gets trapped in there can mold.
