Well, let my give you guys a little background history.
My dad was a damn good drag racer, ran over at ohio valley (still holds some records). He set them with a 1970 Ford Torino Super Cobra Jet 429. He sold it when I was a little kid (remember the car but didn't realize how significant it was at the time he sold it) to invest money in other areas. Well, I was just paroozing through craigslist when I found that very car. Or atleast we think it is because dad said he had the only 429SCJ in louisville. They want 22500 for it. Dad doesn't want to buy it back, so I am thinking it is gonna be sold and moved out of the state. :'( If only I had an extra 20 grand laying around.

Nice car, I like those old BIG BLOCK, You have to learn that in life, there will be a lot of things you're going to want{WOMEN, CARS, & GUNS} but you won't have the money, so you better learn to be content with what you have

I gave up a lot of toys for my wife & son, I had some nice cars, but the wife said our front yard looked like a used car lot, we had 5 cars, also sold my 2004 HONDA FOREMAN 450 4X4 & My ARCTIC CAT 400 4X4 & a **** load of guns, but I have no regrets. Life goes on my brother

 

true. I think my dad sold it because he was just tired of cars. He was in his late forties but working his whole life took a huge toll on him. (Worked at ford then started fixing cars) I think he got sick of cars. He is old and wise.
Unfortunatly, I am still young and stupid.

 

You don't N E V E R get tired of your hobby, He sold his car, to paid the bills or to buy things for a wife & his kids

 

It wasn't a hobby for him anymore. He didn't wan't to continue messing with cars at home.

 

He had a reason for selling the car

 

His reasoning was he didn't drive it and didn't feel like he was going to drive it or wanted to for that matter. We weren't hurting for money, him and I have talked about a thousand times. He did, however, take the money he got from the car and invest it in something, (i think gold?). So we are probably better off now, but still sad to see the car leave the area.
My dad isn't your average person, but he is my best friend and the best role model I got.
