crank the t-bars a wee bit and you will fit 31x10.50x15's fine, hopefully you got the 4.3 V6 or 2.5 4 banger.....2.8 is a waste of money, i have an 4x4extended cab one with a blown motor in ohio..... -

I know that will have to be addressed before i do the swap, the 4bt is not the only engine I am considering. Maybe an Isuzu.
Logan, you have any suggestions what would be a good easy, cheap diesel transplant for the truck? -

Dude a 4BT would be a real cheap easy transplant. There's a guy on Ebay selling Cummins to Chevy Motor mounts, and then you get the trans. adaptor, put a Turbo 400 behind it with a mechanical modulator, beefed up 12 bolt rear, badda bing

Seriously, that would be a pretty easy swap. -

hmmmm, i dont know, id have to talk to my mom, she has the title for me......a regular cab long bed s10 dosent have much room once you start talking full size parts, especially a 4BT and a turbo 400.......if you could find something lighter it would be ok but its getting a bellhousing pattern that is useful.......... -

I think it'd fit without much problem, it can't be too long. Theres a guy in a town near me with a 6B in his S10 (Mike Leonard) and he has about 3 cyl. out in front of the cowl. Might have to move the trans. crossmember back a little. -
