We have been slow in Florida for 3 years and I think it's going to get worse and a lot of people are going to lose their houses and they keep letting them come across the border 25 thousand a month to make sure we won't survive. -

No offense, there buddy. Things will come back on line. They always do. See I know that this is going to end - it was supposed to end in December which I was prepared for and sort of looking forward too to be honest but 1 month early is still 1 month early... -

I know it sucks to get laid off. I really do feel for you guys. And I think I too may get the ax soon. At work things are getting slow. Sucks with Christmas less than 2 months away, but I guess thats just how it is. Oh well, I guess. Get to spend more time with the kid. -

I didn't read every post, so may I ask what it is you do?

Instead of "looking" for work from someone else, is there a possibility of marketing your skills to work for yourself?

Some of the best self made types were born from similar adversity.

Well, I know now more. It would seem that the VP (who is a nice guy BTW) has given me my notice indicating that it will be the end of January 2010. This is good news but not great news.

It will give me some time to get my stuff together, stay of the EI ski team and explore options that may be available. -

yeah, it gives me some time to find something else and not worry about the holidays and all that sort of thing.

Holy cats, that's a lot of rain!

It finally stopped raining here. Think it rained most of October. Now they can finish up stuff on my house, so I'll be ready for the snow--I like it to snow on Thanksgiving, which for us isn't for a few weeks yet. -

we had like 2 days of showers in October and only 1 really sunny day in November. The rain is here to stay.

I would rather it snow.
