Default Harley Softail fuel filter??

I have a an 01 Softail Fuel Injection and i was wondering where the fuel filter is at on this thing, ive looked for it but havent really tore into it to find it...im assuming this thing has to have some kinda filter for it.

The reason im asking is because it seems like once i get over 120ish miles on a tank of gas it seems to start stuttering and surging and it seems to be fuel problem and i was gonna start at the filter in my troubleshooting

That does sound like a fuel problem, have you traced the fuel line from the tank?

Oh and you better remind me... Or PM Steph

Talking with some guys they seem to think that with the fuel injected bikes the filter is with the pick-up/pump in the tank.

great...so maybe on the end of the supply line going from the tank, like where the petcock would be on an old school set up...if that is the case that wouldnt be so bad but if its more complicated then that its gonna suck

I'm pretty sure the FI'ed bikes have a pump in the tank. Maybe its getting old. Put you an AirDog on it!
