we used to try stuff like that on the tractor when plowing a field, one guy at each end of the field, get the tractor started down the furrow , and get off , guy at the other end catches it , turns it around , and sends it back. now if we just had 5-6 tractors it woulda been more work than fun.

That would never work with the plows I used, but sounds like fun to try. I can't imagine trying to jump on an 8630 dual'd up doing 10 mph with a six bottom sunk in, one slip and your dead!!

It wouldn't work with the newer bigger stuff ( we don't plow anymore, all no-till), but when we were plowing with a david brown 885, and a 3 furrow plow, it was do-able. I have heard stories of guys plowing in circles, using a screen door spring to hold the wheels cut into the edge of the furrow, getting off and just letting the tractor go until it runs out of fuel.
