As if Microsoft wasnt incompetent enough already, now they have tried to make a more "MAC" like OS.. called Windows 7. A very limited number of Betas were allowed to be Downloaded.. and it will cost each windows user to convert.. another scam.

Lets see, buy a $1,000.00 Laptop, with some windows crap on it. Then MOST people will spend a few hundred bucks getting Anti-virus, antispyware, anti malware, and taking the piece of crap back to Bestbuy and drop another few hundred to have it fixed. Then in 2 years you have to do it all again..


or


Drop $2,700 on a decent MACbook, and be set for 5 years.. and never have to worry about spyware, viruses, malware.. hmm..

Im personally not impresed. Its just a crappy, chopped up version of Vista, that will require MASSIVE amounts of RAM to run anywhere near as fluid as MAC OS..

And dont be fooled by the "fancy touch screen".. That sort of technology has been used in industry on LINUX (aka MAC) based machines for well over 15 years.

win7 does run really smoothly i've been running it for awhile. BTW there are only 5 or so serials so get one of the right ones and you can activate.
BTW NOTHING like vista. UI is the same thats it.

Depends on what your gonna use it for, 75 % of the stuff out there is only written for windows / Microblows...

The nice thing about most computers / laptop is you can find people local to fix them, not awhole lot of mac' people around here,

And $2,700 seems alot for a note book of any sorts, not to mention you could buy a heck of a computer for that.. and be twice as happy'

 

I'm not about ready to touch a Mac. They drive me crazy. It seems to me that Macs are designed for retard mutants. Windows Vista was Microsoft's attempt to do the same. And it's the most obnoxious piece of crap ever.

Like, Microsoft, here's some ideas:

ONE DAMN "My Documents" FOLDER! ONE! If there's only ONE user on the computer, I don't need 17 MY DOCUMENTS FOLDERS!!! If there's TWO users, I need TWO "My Documents" folders.
No folders that I can't access. Seriously? Vista? Seriously? If you're going to put a hundred damn folders on my root directory, that I can't access, why even put the damn things there?
If the damn mother-sucking Network Wizard is still TOO OUTDATED TO HAVE OPTIONS FOR ROUTER-BASED LAN, it's not useful. I'm not setting up an intranet through phone modems and a proxy server. This isn't 1999 anymore.
And for the love of God, I know that the Internet is a scarey place and I might download a naughty file. That's the point. I don't need warning messages every two minutes.

I'm running about a year now on my 850 MHz Win2000 machine, with no anti-virus or anti-malware of all time, and I download "files" on it nightly. And I don't have any slow-down issues, pop-ups, funny processes, anything. If I can figure out this crap, I don't know how the bloody hell people mess it up so bad. Like, hey guys, if the **** you are downloading is only 5 kb and involves Julia Roberts and three donkeys, IT MIGHT BE A VIRUS.

Apple .. yes.. sure 75% of the consumer software out is written for PC's.. I'll agree with that.. But you can run a windows emulator on a MAC machine, and its still faster than its PC counterpart.. WHILE RUNNING TWO OS's!

People that are afraid, or intimidated of a MAC are just not knowledgeable of them. They are the most reliable machines. What do you think 90% of all servers run? LINUX.. Guess what a Mac is? A Linux based machine. Seems like the server companies know what will hold the load..


There are ALOT of Servers running Win2000.. Because sure, it was the last stable code that came out of Microsoft.. 2000.. wow

XP, was the last "decent" OS that MS had.. and its loaded with problems.. Dont even get me started on Vista..

Stop being afraid of a MAC people.. move over to the dark side.. Anything you can run on your current machine, you can run on a new Macbook.. and it will run faster, smoother, and with better graphics.

 

Mac's are not faster, and they don't have better graphics.

You build a Mac, I'll build a PC, and dollar-per-dollar who do you think will benchmark more frames-per-second with Crysis? Or anything DirectX 10? I'll be pwning n00bs while you're still trying to figure out whether it's even possible for your little fruit machine to emulate DirectX 10.

The only reason Mac's appear "faster" is that they have more streamlined interfaces and don't come with as much bloatware. Oh, and "video editing". They're really good at "video editing". Whateva fruit fewl.
