Default Flight 3407 in Clarence Center, NY... On my doorstep.

Well my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and the families in Continental Flight 3407. This hit VERY close to home for me, literally. I was born and raised in Clarence Center, about 5 miles from where the plane hit. My younger step brother lives with his mother just 2 blocks from Long St (where the plane hit) on High St. I was dropping my younger brother off at his mothers when the plane hit, and all I can say I witnessed was the smoke and fireball. I didn't try to get to the scene, I knew I'd be of more help clearing traffic, so thats what I did. As cars and trucks raced to the scene I did my best to keep the streets clear for the Volunteer Fire Companies (my brother being one of them) and the Ambulance crews to get through. Unfortunately, there were no survivors on the plane, and the house it hit was a good friend of mines whom I graduated with a number of years ago. Her father was the killed victim on the ground, her mother and her made it out safely. Her boyfriend is in Iraq right now, so she is left with close friends to grieve with. The plane hit just 3 houses from our close family friends, and elderly couple, and they along with most residence on the street were evacuated to the Volunteer Fire Hall at the end of the road.

You know, I hear the planes fly over all the time, and you never think about what can happen. Please keep all the victims and the families, and the Town of Clarence, and City of Buffalo in your prayers. Thanks guys!

This leaves me with alot of grief & sorrow. I work for a major airlines, and when an aircraft goes down, the life that are lost is terrible. We will pray for all 49 of the souls that were lost.
