A very awesome video indeed! It definitely hit me hard the first time I heard the song.
When I was a little kid, 4th grade I think, the traveling Vietnam Wall memorial came to our town. My grandfather was killed in Cambodia during Vietnam, but since we were never there during the war, his name never made it on the wall. In fact there is no information that his unit ever existed. When I got there, I was ok for a few seconds, then as I got close and saw just how many names there were, it tore me apart. I cried for a long time, it was just so mind boggling to me at that age. It was also very humbling knowing that all those soldiers put their lives on the line, that my grandfather died so we could live life without fear.
God Bless the soldiers that have died, and those that continue to fight for our freedoms! America....land of the free because of the brave!

wow... incredible. absolutley incredible.
my father was in vietnam but he wasnt there for as long as some. im glad to have himareound still, i couldnt begin to imagine what those that lost thier brothers, sisters, fathers and mother to war must feel everyday...
to my fallen brothers and sisters OOH RAH!
we will never forget you, and everyhting you have done.
i would have liked to continue into the marines but i cant because of my spinal implants. it would be an honor to protect my homeland against opposition.
for those that have lost anyone to war, my heart goes out to you.
this is a very powerful picture
that is all

That is an awesome picture. I have been to DC once and had time to stop at the wall for about 10 minutes. In a city that is so big and so many people around, it got deftly quite when I walked up to it. Time pretty much stood still as I looked in a amazement at all the names. It's impossible to describe the way I felt when I was there, like nothing I had ever felt before. Some day I will make it back and be able to spend some time there.
