Default NY hunting camp success pics!

Well after hunting through a monsoon on saturday we all sure hoped sunday would be better. A real nice 7pt was killed in the heaviest part of the downpour though! Sunday mornin i had this guy walk by below me and after a couple grunts and a bleet he ran right up the ridge and that's where he stayed. Of course after the hammer dropped on my gun with no bang (stupid lever action safety). Im just happy he stayed put for a few more seconds. And a nice 6 pt was killed from the exact spot i killed mine yesterday mornin. Here's a couple pics of the 7 and my 8.

The ride home wasn't quite as good. The BD trans in my buddys truck decided to puke a little from either the front pump seal or the breather about 2 hrs into the trip. After runnin all over tryin to find back up fluid it decided it didn't want to go into lockup anymore. So babying it down the road another 20 mins i touched the rumble strip, got it back into the lane, then Boom! Front right tire blew out. Then i found out he didn't have his factory jacking stuff in the truck but did have a spare. I finally got to use one of those call box things on the highway! Thanks to the ol coot tow truck driver who helped us out..

Anyways,,,,Hopefully bill chimes in tomorrow with some success pics of his own.. Thanks again!

Had to shoot him in the throat. It was either that or let the moron that set up 100yrds behind me get him. Dropped on the spot due to heart problems.

Dont mind the half retarted look. It was a lonnnngggg crazy drive home and i was ready to pass out.

That is the county that we hunt in.

Jeff I had no idea your ride home was that crappy.

I actually had some luck luck too. I hunted for 3 days straight and no buck oportunities what so ever.
I was at hunting camp all week and was out all day everyday and went back to my house to push deer around for my Dad. I walked over to the wood stove to check it and I saw the buck in the brush 20 yards from me. So I ran back to the truck loaded up and walked behind the house to the wood stove and used the wood stove as a rest and shot it. 20 yds away. I saw this buck twice during bow season and I couldn’t shoot, but this time he didn’t get that option. He was hiding down in the brush between the neighbor’s houses thinking he was safe. And he might have been if I was at work

its too bad his G1 was broken off. but oh well
if I can get my sd card reader to work on my computer I'll upload the picture of my ugly mug (although it may be ugly, I look like a model compared to Jeff. )
