Default TALK TO ME MOPAR GUYS......

im going to build a 528 or 542 cube aluminum headed fire breathing Mother Mopar engine......im going to start with my 1977 dually's low mileage 440 and buy everything from 440 Source.com Homepage , right now pretty much all of the parts i need beside the intake and carbs (yes, carbs, as in three 2 barrels or dual quads) i got priced at WELL less than 6K......not including machine work.......i figure ill have about 8000 in the engine, plus another 4K in the tranny including a Gear Vendors to tame those 4.10's.......this will happen sometime next spring probably cause by then i will have moved up in my job and ill be getting paid more.......the truck is getting completely restored to show quality but with a few tweaks of course.........mileage really dosent concern me but i would like to keep the engine REV's as low as possible on the freeway so im using the gear vendors.......i figure i can run it on 93 octane mixed with some 115 from the local gas stations race gas pump......the biggest trip this thing would make would be over to the Turkey Run in Daytona and to Orlando, Tampa or Plant City to car shows.......anywhere else and i would probably tow it just because......

so what do you guys think.......

I think you need to stop looking at the cheap-stuff-way of building an engine, call Indy Cylinder Heads, and have one built correctly.

It will cost a lot, but will be worth it in the long run.

My opinion...just as you requested.

Well, you don't have to build a friggin' drag motor. They offer rotating assemblies, short blocks, long blocks, complete assemblies, drop ins, etc.

Their price structure goes way beyond what is on their site......their catalog is a few hundred pages thick.

You may not get one for 8 grand...but by the time you buy your multiple carbs, get them tuned, dyno your package, etc you'll be right up there towards 14 anyway.

..and I'm not rich so stop spreading lies.
