has anyone heard about the prices going down for the ps3 this christmas??? if so im gettin it plus rock band, call of duty, and the new grand theft auto....the same day, i know theres no way im gettin a xbox 360, i KEEP hearing about the ring of death and its gay cause you buy a new xbox 360 and it messes up, they send you a refurb...that makes no sense. If im going to pay for a new one i want a new one.... if i get a refurb then i want to pay refurb prices from the get go....whats your thought on that situation??? either pm me or post in here

 

I'm not sure about the price going down, if they do, all the stores will have them for pretty much the same price. All of Sony's products are price protected, so sale prices come from Sony.

I had the ring of death on mine. I bought it at Best Buy and got the 2 year replacement warranty. I took them the old one and they swapped it out for a new one right there. I had to pay for the warranty for the new one I got. But the priced had dropped since I bought my first one. They took the price drop difference and applied it to the cost of the new one. So I had my 360 for about 19 months and the it broke and I got a brand new one for an extra $10.

 

really so they dont give you a refurb??? i heard they did...man that damn ring of death sux, ive heard...

 

Im sure if you send it in to Microshaft to get it fixed then they will send you a refurb back. That was just from Best Buys warranty program that I know of.
