My house is out in the woods in the trees , this was my back yard

 

but did it sound like it was up in the trees or down on the ground?

 

very well could be a Bobcat, they are showing up all over in Ohio in the last couple years there was one out at my grandpa's farm we never seen it but i heard it and it will send shivers right down your spine when it screams

 

Thats a tough one . I've heard so many weird noises in the woods and that aint one of em.

 

I didnt have the volume up high enough to hear what you were having us listen to.

But I have heard a few different owls make some funked up noises, coyotes/foxes and pups make weird noises, Bobcats definitly do make a scream type call, and any animal in distress make some wacky sounds.


the sound is so distant that I cant really pick it out.

 

its either a bobcat , fox or a coyote i recon

 

yep set a game camera up and see if you can get a pic of something other than a deer....could be the Ohio Grassman
