I would make my own exhaust(black with heat wrap, no muffler) and get the tractor seat done in tooled leater with some pinsriping on the tank and fenders.

ive looked at another model in person and its a good quality bike, i can always add a S&S to it later if i wanted to.

by S&S you mean a v-twin? i highly doubt one that it'll even fit and two that the chinese frame and drive components will hold the power of one. i've seen one in person and it looks like a nice bike but i'm skeptical about the quality, longevity, and the availability of parts if they were to go under. if you search here i made a thread way back in the day about Johnny Pag.....

for just buying a new bike it doesn't look too bad; I think the backbone looks kinda weird, I think it's the gap between the seat and fender and the gas tank is kinda small relative to the stretch/length of the frame. doesn't look too bad, though, really clean and simple.

I wouldn't make fun of ya too much, I'm part way through bobbing an old Yam XS650 for toolin around town on. it's pretty simple to do with a little fabricating...I think I'm even buying a frame section to weld on instead of making my own...

I have this condition, where I perceive OEM parts as insufficient and in need of aftermarket replacement; maybe that mindset just stems from the domestic vehicles that I've owned.

also thats the thing, back in the day bobbers were made of whatever parts you had laying around, so the motor not being a v-twin doesnt really bother me. the local custom bike shop just started selly these JP bikes, he says there well built and run really well. and thats saying alot because this guy messes with alot of all out customs.

i would move the seat back or put a real tractor seat on it.

they all say that.... the one i looked at was an Indian dealership..... i bet they have a HUGE profit margin and prolly charge like hell for havin to work on them because they aren't a v-twin..... i'd like to hear from someone that has one that has rode it almost every day they could for a year or 2 and see how it holds up......

I like the parallel twins, they've got a pretty unique thump/vibe that the V's don't have. and 26 years on mine and it runs perfectly still....probably because the japs did a really good job copying and dare I say improving on the bsa/triumph parallel twin.

Is that an oil cooler behind the front tire? just wondering since it's got a fan on it. or...it's not watercooled with cosmetic air-cool fins, is it? if so, that's a good lookin water cooled engine!

IIRC it is water cooled. the 250cc motors were air cooled and the 325 or 350cc motors were water cooled.
