Default Power Company Rant

Today, the VA State Corporation Commission gave the power company permission to raise their rates by 18% to recover fuel costs. (They were shooting for a 22% increase.)

How is it that fuel, food, clothes and now power are all going up in cost but we aren't seeing a raise in minimum wage or pay increases in general? So... I'm supposed to take my same paycheck every week and buy food that has almost doubled in cost over the past two or three months, continue to put fuel in my truck when the price goes up EVERY DAY and now I'm paying more for the same amount of power each month? Is all of this extra money just supposed to magically appear in my bank account?

If this cycle isn't broken soon, we're all screwed.

Well, that's my rant, I don't really feel any better, but at least it's out of my system for the moment...

Thats harsh, i dont even havea car yet and im already freaking cause of the payments , prices of fuel or gas, then rent, supplies,, yikes it goes on and on., no matter what you make youll allways have to pay more.
This started in the 1700's when the kings took over the churches.. see what happens when you let men take charge..

One good thing though with our government, they gave us a gas credit check I got $400.00 humm:now ill have to get it here. its up with the ex..

I hear ya on the price of food. Paid $7.45 for a gal. of orange juice, and $3.30 for a loaf of bread.
