1999 Dodge CTD, he wouldn't let me drive, 2006 Dodge HD CTD I've claimed... lol

Kevin told me everyday he wanted a diesel.....especially after my son bought his 04' Dodge 2500 diesel.....that's all I heard, I want a damn diesel... Back in 2006, he owned a 01' Dodge 1500 Ram that was horrible on gas, guess he was getting maybe 9mpg on a good day and he was driving alot. Everytime I turned around he was needing gas. We went to the Dodge dealership over and over trying to find something in our price range but to no avail. One day, I think it was on a Saturday, we were in town doing some shopping and he told me to stop by Jeff Gordon Chevrolet. They had a 02 Duramaxx that was awesome, we drove it, but couldn't afford the payments...........the following Monday he calls me all excited.... the salesman had called him from the dealership and said he had to come look at this diesel a guy had just traded in. He went after work and all but had the paper work done on the truck before he even called me.....but he did call and told me to come over there. I asked him what kind of truck....he said 99' Dodge 2500 cummins......at that point I was pissed..... why would anyone want to go from a 01 to a 99 was beyond me but to please him, I went over there.

Well, when I saw the truck we were fixing to buy, OMG.....I had no idea it had a lift on it, was totally loaded, leather interior, and best of all a diesel....(wouldn't have to hear him complaining he wanted a diesel anymore, hooray!!!)....while we were signing the final papers, 2 people were trying to buy that truck. they weren't getting it...

Great deal too 11,000.00 with 152,000k and 1 owner, a company who kept detailed records of service for it. We got lucky.

After that, he drove it, tinkered on it, I didn't pay much attention except for riding in it to dog shows......but then he started talking about modifiying it. He joined a site called diesel bombers and it was on. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....modifiying means $$$$$ which we don't have a lot of....he bought an adrenline and a pulse (at the time I was like what the hell is that??) He said it would help monitor the truck.....(good explanation I guess for a wife who really didn't give a shit about it anyway).... but of course I cussed about the money being spent and everytime I looked at his computer, he was on that site.....or in chat talking with people, laughing his ass off about things, I ask what is so funny, he'd say, nothing dear....little did I know what I was missing.....

Then one day in November 08' ...he said... why don't you join Diesel Bombers...I just rolled my eyes but then....I figured why not....can't beat him...join him... Little did I know...what fun I was missing, all the things I needed to learn about diesels.......and the great people on this site.

I don't know which one of you put the idea in his head to get me to join...but the plan worked.......I'm all about diesel's now.....don't mind spending the money we don't have upgrading......he has my blessing and maybe one day, he'll actually let me drive it

to be continued......after the new tranny....200hp injectors and twin turbos.......

1-26-09 The accident:

well as you can see the 99 is toast after Kevin hit a loose car hauler trailer head on running 60mph then rolling end over end 7 times....and he survived, thank you god.

2-13-09... Now on to our new truck (thank you other insurance company )

2006 Dodge HD CTD 25,223 miles

Yes, I've claimed this truck. I've been driving it since the day I signed the papers on it and it's mine. Kevin is still healing from the accident and really don't show much interest in this truck but I did talk him into slipping behind the wheel and see if it could turn the backtires over a little which by the way he did a good job with no mods yet......

I drove it to Kentucky and fell just a little deeper in love with it. I'm thinking now I want to add another stack, change it to black mitres instead of chrome, add some black fender flares, custom made front bumper, line-x the box, and oh the mods that are going on this baby, Air Dog, Goerend, Smarty, MP-8, intake, sticks of some sort... (I have no idea how big, what kind, just letting the guys handle that one) new turbo/s, guages...and alot more....i'm guessing i'm bout up to ...hmmm. at least 12k by now ....can't wait for that day to actually do all this!!!! update more when the settlement comes
