My Diesel

Well I am new to the diesel scene as far as owning them. But i have been around them all my life as i was born and raised on a farm..

After the past couple years of riding with a couple buddies to truck pulls and then going to Scheid 08, I was HOOKED!!! I wanted one... And i wanted one BAAAD.

So I started looking. Was never ever a Dodge fan.. Infact i use to say that i would rather push a chevy than drive a Dodge.. But I feel and think Dodges have come a long way. Driving down the road EVERYONE has dodges. So they must be doing something right. I was looking at Duramax's hardcore and really threw option of just sticking with a gasser..

Well i constantly looked on auto trader.com and craiglists (the surrounding 3 states) Looking for the PERFECT one that i wanted..

Then BINGO! I found it! But the only downside, was, i was stuck with a FORD and i couldnt sell it.. I had a few bites on it but nothing major. I kept in touch with owner of the 2004 3500 i was looking at.. He said that he needed to get rid of it as he lost his job a year and a half ago and he couldnt afford it anymore. But i couldnt get rid of my truck..

So a month and a half goes by, finally get a good hit on my truck. Guy is pretty interested. I waited til i had money in hand, i emailed the guy with the 3500 seeing if he still had it.. Turns out he did.. Something told me that that truck had my name written all over it and that it was meant to be. The exact truck i was looking for and it waited around for a couple months for me..

So i started doing a little research on them and everyone told me to make sure that it was the 04.5 and that if it wasnt, to stay away.. So i figured now that i found the truck i wanted and there is a difference in the years, that it wouldnt be the one they were telling me to get. The guy didnt really know what to look for to tell if it was a 04 or 04.5. So we drove 4 hours 1 way to take a look at it.. Turns out it WAS an 04.5. Tried making a deal with the guy, but didnt sound like he was going to work with me on it to make the sale.. But we went home and the next day i called him and told him what i would have to have inorder to make it a deal... Expecting him to say no... cant do that.. He says OK sounds good!!

So longer story made short...

I am the proud owner of a 2004.5 Dodge 3500 SRW 4door Long box CTD 6spd..

What made the deal even better was, both previous owners were old timers, so i know it wasnt ever run hard..

So now here i sit owning it for a WEEK tomorrow

Just installed a AFE Stage 2 Intake, and the EDGE Juice with Attitude is going in tomorrow!

So here is my story on MY DIESEL.
