			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>As a young teenage boy growin up on a ranch i knew from the start i wanted a truck when i turned 16 but i didnt really know what i wanted. At 15 i decided that I wanted either a duramax like my dads (02 cc sb black) or a 1500 Chevy truck. My bro kyle had a Chevy with the 350 and i thought it was pretty cool so thats kinda what i wanted. Well on my 16th birthday i was so excited cause my dad said he would buy me a truck that i wanted but it turned out that he found a bunch of shit wrong with it so he didnt want me to have it. Its febuary 28th 2005 and I walked up the stairs so sure i would look out the window and see that truck instead tho my dad handed me the keys to this 96 dodge ram Cummins reg cab long bed maroon ranch truck that we had beat the piss out of. I hated that truck ever since my dad bought it in 98 used. I hated everything about that truck. I didnt know much about diesels and i didnt know the potencial of that truck. I drove that truck to school and abused the crap out of it because i didnt care. One i came rippin up the hill by the school and skidded into a parking spot along the street and shut her down right away and got out and slammed the door shut and started to walk inside and this senior (i was a sophmore) hick kid like me says &quot;dont like you turbo much?&quot; I thought he was bein an ass hole so I ignored him and as it turned out a couple days later we got to talkin at school and he took me for a ride in his 96 Powerstroke that had a few mods done to it and pulled 42psi out of a stock turbo. Right away i was hooked on speed and the loud ness of a diesel. I wanted to trade off my truck on a powerstroke or a duramax so I could have that sound and smoke like Matt's truck. I told him that and he laughed in my face. Straight up HA HA HA you are stupid. I was like &quot;what how that truck is junk&quot; He said no it aint pop the hood and he started showin me the star wheel and explainin how my motor could crank twice the power of his. He turned that star wheel up and i went and drove it and right away i was addicted to the 12v power. I told him i wanted a chip and he laughed and started teaching me all about it and then i wanted power and lots of it. I started doin mods and in Febuary i turned the corner to head up the hill behind the school and a couple of pretty girls were walkin out there car for lunch time so i goosed her and dumped the clutch and put her sideways with black smoke rolling and tire smoke rollin and I got all smiles from those girls and after lunch while sittin in class the girl I'm married to now started flirtin with me askin for a ride in my truck. I was like hell yea. I started treating that truck with a great deal of respect because of the power it posesed. Over the summer of 05 i got a turbo for it and did a little altering to the injection pump and injectors and that truck ran like a raped ape. No joke like it scared me. So my jr year the truck kept getting faster and faster i think it because i figured out that i could peg her to the wall and slam gears and never lift. I got 4000 rev springs right before the the school year ended. That was a bad idea haha.... Over the summer I would wrench on it here and there and my dad would shake his head and my mom would say &quot;its a stupid waste of time and money&quot; I finally got sick of there critisim and took them for a ride in my truck and my dad just about literally shit himself and then he wanted to race me in the Infiniti G35 coupe that they had. Yea I kicked the shit out of that thing like nothin. I was impressed my dad and mom with the work i had done and they wanted me to go farther on it and see how nuts i could get it. I took it to a dyno and engine shop in ft collins in early august 2006 I put it on the dyno first one great truck flat lined the dyno so the guy re calibrated it and the second run as i got to higher RPM the truck made a loud pop and a hissing but it would go away at a lower RPM. So i literally said &quot;fuck it I'll go again&quot; I put her on the third time and mashed it to the floor board and the truck cut out so i lifted and then mashed it to the floor again and it cut again and the then BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM and smoke was rollin out and fluid was pouring out of everywhere possible and i looked at my boost gauge and it was pointed at 90psi. I put my head on the steering wheel and was so lost in thought that i didnt know what to do. The worst thing that happened to me was yet to come. My parents were pissed when my truck came back on a flat bed trailer bein towed by Matts truck. I didnt really look at the damage i just wanted to get it home. Well the next day I went out and looked and the block was cracked straight down the middle and I knew it was done with rods stickin thru the head and the head all warped and the turbo completly shreaded and i knew she was done. I went out the next weekend tho and redeemed myself and bought a fucking 45,000 dollar Duramax cc sb black 2006 every option you could imagine. I know i know a 17 year old kid getting a truck like that is hard to believe but my late grandfather left me and my sibilings a lot of money in mineral rights and oil leases and thats how i could even get approved for a truck like that. I left it stock i told myself that it was over i was modifying anymore trucks its done this one stays stock. Well in november i got that itch to modify so i did the simplest thing i could do I put slash gaurds on and cranked the torsion bars all the way up. I liked it and wanted to go farther. At christmas my dad got me a superchips programmer and said &quot;I want my son back, go molest that pick up&quot; And thats when i started going nut with it. By the time i graduated on the 2nd of June I had two chips stacked a 3 inch lift intake exhaust 18inch RPM wheels 33s tinted windows smoked head lights and tail lights and a bunch of other shit on that truck and i was burnin thru trannys ha ha..... Anyways held on to that truck until I got that Cummins itch and had to make a change. I sold the Duramax off to my cousin and went out and bought a 2006 grey Cummins quad cab short bed auto in Feb 2008 and went to town on it and in late April I had finally made my decision with PDI to have a motor built for it. In May I pulled it and the trans and off to PDI they went and three weeks later i had the Duramax back and a fully built race motor and I was ready to roll. I took the truck out and it was alright but not what i was expecting so i did a turbo change and wha la! It was runnin good but i wanted to go faster. So the drugs came. I put on 2 100 shot bottles and wired them into a on-off switch that only worked when you had it pegged to the floor. Well after drivin in for a week I wanted to turn it loose. I went out north towards the ranch and pegged her to the floor and off i went at around 75ish mph the i moved my right leg and when i did I bumped that nos switch and all the suddent the RPMs jumped and the back wheels went into a spin and it started whipping back and forth and i caught it once and as it whipped over towards the shoulder and the tires caught and it slammed over on the side once and then rolled over 4 times and came to rest on its wheels. I put my head on the steering wheel and started crying. I couldnt believe that i had let myself down again. I was so pissed and down on myself that I cryed until the police showed up. I was very lucky to walk away with scrathes and bruises after not wearin a seat belt. The cop was real nice and didnt give me a ticket but lectured me on why i shouldnt do that. I went home and waited for Tallia to get home and all i could do was stare at a pic of it on my comp and cry. i felt like such a puss but i loved that truck and i was gonna pass it down to my son when i had one. I went out to the ranch the next day and told my parents and felt like i had let them down to. After they chewed my ass for being stupid my dad said &quot;its time for you to pull yourself up by your boot straps and redeem yourself.&quot; I had the 08 Cummins and my first 12v was done after buyin a brand new motor in march and building it from the ground up and it was a twin turbo Dragon flow monster... I then bought a old ranch truck that had a shit ton of miles on it and built it all from the ground up and just got done with it about two weeks ago and thats the white one in my picture album on this site. I hope you liked my story i still have more to tell but I save that for another day. Sorry this is so long hope you enjoyed it.</div>

My name is Eric I'm 19 and I was born and raised on my parents ranch in south eastern Wyoming (15ish miles north of Laramie) I have 4 siblings. I have and older brother Kyle (21) a adopted sister Steph (19) and younger brother Josh (17) and a younger sister Kelly (16). I am 19 dyed in the britches cowboy never gonna move I want that ranch in my name someday. At a young age my cousin Beau (20) got me interested in racing moto and fast cars so i started that at around 9 and I have kept at it never givin in to quitting and finding something that is less painful to do. From moto i have broken wrists arms legs ankles head back face hands and feet. I enjoy doing it and right now I'm on track to winning my division championship for the second time. I got my first ever vehicle when i was a sophmore in high school I was only 15 and my dream truck was a 1500 Chevy truck with the 350 or a Duramax like my dads but instead i got a 1996 12v I thought it was junk but met one of my best friends who is the same age as Kyle and he showed me how to turn it up. After that the addiction started and it drove me crazy. I honestly think that truck hooked me up with the love of my life and my wife because before her i was playin the hit it and quit it game and that really wasnt cuttin it for me.... Yea I roared passed her one day at lunch bein my usual smart ass self and she gave me hell about it in our class that we had together after class and the rest is history. In August of 06 right before my senoir year i went to Ft. Collins to dyno the 12v and had her tuned real good. Was on the dyno first run went great second run truck made a &quot;pop&quot; and i was like fuck it I'll go one more run and third run the turbo super spooled and gernaded the truck. I was up shit creek in a hurry and I had a fun time explainin that to my dad. Luckily I had come across some money a couple monthes earlier from oil leases and mineral rights that my grandfather owned and when he passed they were distributed to us kids. Went out the next weekend and bought a brand new 06 Duramax and drove that until feb 2008 had lots of mods done to it and lots of parts failures. I sold that to my cousin and bought a 2006 Dodge Cummins (I miss that truck alot) made my first memory with it when i hit a elk while driving balls out thru a swamp lol. I had that Cummins for a while and I got bored with it and in May of 2008 I ponyed up some cash and pulled the motor and sent it off to PDI where it was transformed into a full blown street legal ish race motor. That was in May which was a big month for me shit started goin my way, I bought the 6.7 Cummins I have now, my Duramax back, and i got a job at the local GM dealer as a Diesel tech so life was bein good to me. Well anyways  in late June i had turbo problems with my 06 CTD and ended up swaping turbos and doing the dumb thing and hooking up nitrous and on a friday night i was doin a &quot;dry&quot; run by my self (thank god no one was with me) and i had the nos step up on a &quot;on- off&quot; switch but you had to have it to the floor for it to work and I was doin my run a little north of town out by Wyotech north campus and I bumped that switch and sent the rear tires into a spin and i caught the truck as it whipped once but the second time the throttle stuck pinned to the wall and the tires caught the shoulder and the truck rolled four times in the ditch. I wasnt wearing a seat belt and i am very lucky that i walked away from that one with cuts and bruises. I rebuilt the 96 and its in a new body now and it has a friend now with my white 96 being done. I also have a 2001 24v flat bed that is my ranch truck but my dad owns it so it really isnt mine i just drive it. My wife Tallia and I just got married a week ago and I couldnt have asked for a better wife she loves me for me and has never given up on me even though i have done some really crazy and stupid things she has always stood beside me and supported me. I almost lost her two days after the wedding she got apendicitis and if would have waited any longer to take her to hospital her apendix would have burst killing her in just an hour or so is what the doctor said. I am a really easy person to get along with I joke around alot so dont always take me seriously I'm here because I got started at Diesel Power back in January 08 because I had a question about my truck and ended up joining in a war against another member. One night while workin the late shift at the towing company i was workin at I thought of a group i could form for diesel enthusiats and it sat and marinated on my mind for days and one day at school this kid i became friends with has a 6.0L Ford and he said blah blah blah blowin smoke blah blah blah and thats where it hit me to start the Blowin Smoke Gang. I never thought it would really catch on i just thought it would be a few guys that called themselve the Blowin Smoke Gang but it turned out huge and I think its around 70 members now and even has a sub division for it the Gals of the Blowin Smoke Gang. I was told about this site by a couple of BSG admins and decided to check it out, didnt like it at first cause i didnt know anyone and i was really unfamilar with everthing. But like my moto career and all my toys that break lol i didnt give up I kept comin and now I'm here alot almost too much lol. I'm here to make friends and learn and to have a good laugh and this site does that. Well sorry that its so long I guess i had alot to say and just thought i would share a little of me with all of you. Sorry again its so damn long.</div>
