Well I grew up around gas vehicles all my life, never any diesels up until about age 18. We (my family) moved to a little bigger town and I met a guy I now call my best friend (Matt).
We started to hear alot about people customizing Cummins trucks and making big power. So instantly us being youngins we wanted one BAD! Well my buddy bought a 24 valve, put on an edge comp. That day I was amazed with the amount of power it had, so I HAD to have one.

A year or so past and I still couldn't manage to afford one. During that time we read up on diesels and learned that the 12 valve was the way to go for for us budget builders. Matt sold his 24 valve and bought a 12 valve, I was really hooked then.

Finally the day came and I could afford one! I looked and looked for a couple months non-stop for a 12 valve and couldn't find one. So I settled for a 99 24 valve with an edge comp on it. I had the truck for probably 6 months and had alot of problems with head gaskets. I did a little research on previous owners and found out that it had the dreaded 53 block in it that had cracked and been welded up. When it cracked the previous owner said it got really hot (around the 300 range), there's my head gasket problems I said. I didn't wanna dump a bunch of money into the truck, so I lost all intrest in the "expensive cummins". I filled her full of water and went and traded it off for the 01 gaser (in my photo album).

I kept that truck for about a year. I loved the truck but missed the Cummins bad! I then started searching for a 12 valve to trade for. Then the crash happened, I endo'd the truck. Now the search was really on for a 12 valve, I was truckless!

Matt's dad had one that I really wanted, so I pushed and pushed till he sold it to me! I've had nothing but fun with this ole truck for the last 3 years!
