My Rig
Well to start off my truck is a Regular Cab 2X4. It has a full custom paint job of Viper Black and Prowler Orange. I recently redid the seats in a two tone Black and Grey Pleather. It has 5" Mitre cut stacks and a toolbox that is flush to the top of the bed rails and sits inside the bed behind the stacks. my truck is truely one of a kind. It has shaved door handles with remote poppers, a shaved body line and 5% window tint all around. It is rolling on Eagle Alloy 5 star aluminumn wheels and Maxxis Commercial 235/85/16. My truck has 370 Injectors, 191 Delivery Valves, 4KGSK, 100 plate, HTT Quick Spool Manifold, HTT 71 Series 64/14 Turbo, K&N FIPK, Snow Stage 2 Methanol Kit, NOS Nitrous Kit, Goerend Built to the hilt Transmission with a tight Tripple Disc Converter, Mag-Hytec Tranny Pan, GM rear wheel cyl. upgrade. It has all Autometer Pro-Comp Boost, Pyro, Tranny Temp, Drive Press Gauges. HID's, Tripple Train Horns, and rolled in bed liner. Aux. tranny cooler and fan under the cab.
The story behind this truck is kind of funny. I never really had the use for a big truck like this one. I had a friend that had some financial troubles, a business went under, stuff got repo'd and he had to file Bankruptcy. He was starting back doing vinyl siding and needed a truck to pull the equiptment trailer as his Explorer wouldn't do it. At the time I was into street racing and drag racing in general so I kind of needed something to pull with. He found this truck that ended up being a steal at a local dealership. It was all black, every pannel had some dings or dents, the passenger side fender flare was busted and the bedside was gouged behind the flare where someone jack knifed a trailer. The radio didn't work, the cruise control didn't work, and it had bent up simulators on it. It ran strong and would do anything we would ever use it for. We made an agreement that I would sign for it and he would make all the payments on it and when he got over the bankruptcy deal he would get it financed in his name. Well a year and a half later, after over 12 late payments and 4 payments behind (over 2 K out of my pocket to keep my credit up and in good standing) I repo'd the truck from him and started bringing it back up to speed. The driver side window regulator was bad. the radio was gone. A couple months later the fuel shutoff solonoid and starter went bad in the same day. I started with window tint and making the beginner mods. Exhaust, starwheel adjustment, and fuel plate. Then it got modded more and more until it is what it is today.

I prolly did 90% of all the work done to this truck. My painter did all the finish painting I did some of the primer. I did alot of the body work. Darren Morrison helped me install the delivery valves and injectors, and Ray williams does some of the stuff I don't feel like doing like valve cover gaskets, brakes etc.
I'd classify my truck like being in the National Guard. One weekend a month and two weeks a year.....
.... well not really but that is what it feels like. It's a weekend warrior. It's a tow truck when i need something moves and a race truck when I need to put a Honduh driver in their place. There are definately days that she has been rode hard and put up wet.
My truck is featured on Goerend Transmissions website www.Goerend.com and was nominated for Truck Of The Month on DTR and held it's own against 2 other 4X4's but I was beaten by a far superior truck than mine.

to a certain extent. i look at it that even though the payments were late (i paid them on time and then he got me the money) he paid for $6K of my truck for me..... he did the siding on my new house, said it would take 2 weeks to do and after 5 months it isn't completely done.... but hey we live and learn.... isn't that what life is all about?Posted 05-12-2008 at 01:29 PM by Benjamin
