P.S. it wont hurt my feelings if you scroll past the story and go straight to the mods.... well it might a little.

Boring Story Skroll to Green for Mods
To start it off I'm Alex, 22yrs old and live just North of Winnipeg, MB but have been working all over the past few years first in Saskatchewan as on a service rig (triple/double, double fast line) where I got my first craving for the diesel as no one in my family had ever owned one EVER. Than I got on as an elec. tech for CN Rail and have been working all over western Canada the last few years mostly Sask with some extended stints in the BC interior (love and miss all that snow) and this is a hopefully shortened enough story of the love of my life, George. Ummm.... and thats my truck by the way so dont be get funny in the comment section.:bat:

In my previous blog I wrote about the vehicles I've suffered through till I finally got a hold of my baby.
You can check that out if your interested at:http://www.dieselbombers.com/blogs/a...ooom-list.html

I've always wanted one of these big diesels but until I had it and first started looking into a lift and tires I didnt have a single clue about all the mods that can be done and the power that can be unleashed out of these beasts.(I am so happy I chose the truck instead of the corvette I was looking at!)

Anyway I was working out of town and told my buddy who was a car dealer what I wanted and had him keep an eye out at the auto auction for a 6.0 F250 or F350 Lariat FX4 supercab longbox, and had a budget in mind. He told me I was stupid and would never get one for the price I wanted it for and sure enough the very next day my 05 F250 Lariat FX4 supercab shortbox came up on the block and he snagged it for less than I was willing to pay which I was stoked about.

So I immediately got out and had a chip, exhaust, and intake ordered and ready to be put in as soon as I picked er up and brought it back to Saskatoon. I did a quick driveway install the minute a had it back out of town with me and was completely blown away with the huge power gain.

actually before we get to the mods this paragraph is kinda funny
After telling my Pa about this he called me a dummy and said a stupid little box couldnt possibly to that..... He quickly changed his mind after getting out of his grandpa'd up 6.0L and putting the pedal to the floor in my truck on a corner and nearly landing my pride and joy in a very large ditch; but with his years of experience behind the wheel he somewhat recovered, only to swerve into the other lane narrowly missing the poor neighbor. Needless to say he was more than shocked at how much more power that "stupid little box" put under the hood. He had a little glimmer in his eye as we ate breaky that morning with the idea of bombin out his truck, than his old lady quickly squashed that thought (even though he tries to uphold it was his decision) since you dont need 500hp to tow a 5th wheel.

HE'S SOOOOO JEALOUS and I love every minute of it.

Early this year I was out of town and making some good coin so I sprung for the 6" lift and 37"s, got the dealership to do it though cause they were giving me a wicked deal and I was only home for two days. They ended up ordering the wrong parts and I had to go 2 weeks without my truck and ended up getting the lift at cost and installation for free so I dont feel so bad about shopping it out.

So after all the extra power and now the clearance I guess it was time to get it dirty.... and dirty it got. After a long grueling day on the golf course:c: it was time to take er out to the pits behind are farm and have some fun. I ended up with a broken u joint, sheered knuckles and a muddy interior. for vid of stupidity please click following link-->

YouTube - F250 Powerstroke: King of the Quarry II

..... and yes I know there is water coming over the hood, so please dont be mad at me :( .Now it was time for my hands to get dirty since I was two days over the extended warranty, which I didnt mind cause I had some holidays at home and was kinda itchin to do some real work on her myself. So after figuring out there were no aftermarket parts for the truck yet and wanting to give me their super deal of $1400 only if they got to install it (and thats plus installation costs still) ..... you know the good deal since I do so much business with them; a friend who runs a body shop ended up getting me the short side front axle set up for $700 cash. It was a pretty easy job but felt really good doin some work to the beast myself and with my dad, he gave me a hand with the truck and with drinking my beer.

Now that I finally got a postion with my company at home starting January and feel like I'm starting to get a real connection with the truck and can hardly wait to get into that engine and do some upgrades..... although I hear to do the head gasket and studs I gotta lift the cab, but I'll tackle that once it warms up (-50F yesterday AAHHHHH!)

Here we go the
Hopefully Sooner Than Later to Come(in order to be done)
-Stud and head gasket kit, and injectors... not sure what size i'll go with yet

Now I know what you'll all be screaming about

-Last but certainly not least a new turbo.... aurora 3000 i'm thinking for now but that will probably change

and...

:pca1:

...for you guys who are still cursin me out
-A new TRANNY!!!! This will go in same time or before the turbo..... just wanted to keep the suspense going

Just to end things I cant see myself without a diesel ever again these trucks are amazing with the amount of work and performance the are capable of handling with a few tweaks, and now I give that Vette a run for its money and hopefully by the end of next year will be leaving it in a cloud of black smokey shame!

I kinda stole the idea from KC but thought I should start my own list so I dont start forgetting anything.

So this is a list of everything I've owned that has had a motor in it at some point and wheels that spent some time on the ground.

1. 197? Sears 5hp Big Wheel

2. 1986 YZ80
- Damn that thing was fast till I blew the motor and put a '92 in it than it was bagged

3. 1981 YZ250
- Kind of a big leap since I was only 12 but got used to it pretty quick since it whooped all the other bikes in town.

4. 1987 Suzuki Samurai (Smurf)
- No one could believe the punishment that thing went through and kept on ticking till it broke a leaf spring one -40C morning driving to work when it jumped the old backroads creek bridge for the last time.

4.5- 2003 Pontiac Sunfire GT
Kind of on loan from my boss (owned a used car dealership) with intention to buy before the Jeep came in on trade.

5. 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier (Silver Bullet)
- The old silver bullet saw alot of partying the summer between grade 11 and 12

6. 1994 Jeep YJ (Piece of $**t, well thats mainly what I screamed at it)
- 2" body lift, 31" BFG A/T and lots and lots of pretty chrome. I had it for the summer it rained all but two days. Too heavy compared to the zuke for mudding and too lite for the size in the winter. Lots of broken parts.
Needless to say that was and will be the LAST Jeep I ever own!!!

7. 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix (Black Beauty)
- Sold the Jeep for tuition for the new and exciting University life:booo: and adopted my grandma's car that wasnt being used.

8. 1991 Suzuki Samurai (Nuclear Banana)
- Had the a fuel injection type system which was alot more powerful but could never get it to run properly. I drove that thing 8hrs back and forth to the rigs with no radio and a severely ripped top and a broken window. Than I buried it deep in a bog out by our farm and sold it 'as is' to my dads buddy.

9. 1985 CR250
- Got it cheap cause it ran funny. Just turned the reeds around and she was a rocket.
Than when I went to sell it the silly city slicker was cracking on it down the road cold and by the time he got it wide open it had warmed up enough and when he went to turn around on the pavement he cracked it from a stand still in 1st and broke the peg, handlebars, his wrist and ankle..... and to top it off he was out $1200 and I had sold my bike:moon:

10. 1974 F250 Highboy 360ci (Rover)
- Pimped that thing out with a cheap deck and 2 6x9's (Fanciest set up yet... heat and a radio I was in heaven) But for 800km $400 dollars in fuel was getting a little silly, that 360 was an absolute pig.

11. 1992 Suzuki Swift (Xena)
- $175 for the car and about 6hrs and another $150 in parts and I had a money saver. Again no radio and quite lacking in the heat department. Well I had to treat myself for my 19th Birthday!

12. 1986 Suzuki Samurai
- This one had a lift already and not too much rust plus I got a good '89 parts zuke with it too. I've spent countless hrs and probably a good $1000 (parts are very cheap) on this rig so far and finally got it safetied this year. Than I broke another leaf spring jumping/climbing a hill and the drive shaft slipped out when the axle dropped down and hit the dirt causing it too spontaneously combust. Who'd a thunk?
- But I have big plans for this bad boy including a 1.9 Turbo VW diesel.... now I just have to find the time somewhere between being on the road working and looking after my rentals when I do make it home:humm:

12.5- 1989 Parts Samurai
- 2 became 1

13. 2005 Yamaha R1 (Shanequa)
- FAST!
- My first crotch rocket. It hit the ground with 9kms on it.... yes 9. I almost made it to the gas station from the dealership.:ouch: Didnt take me long to master that thing though. Did some cosmetic mods and perf. mods. Windscreen, rearsets, frame sliders, steering dampener, dropped a tooth on the front sprocket. Now I get out to track day whenever I can. They want me to start actually racing but I just aint home enough.

14. 2005 F250 FX4 Lariat 6.0L (George)
- My baby. Well I lifted it 6" but 37"s on it and but a new intake, throttle body spacer, 5" turbo back, Bullydog PMT, and have lots of plans for mine and George's wonderful future together.

15. 2007 Motovert Expert 125cc (Elmo)
- These pitbikes are crazy fast and are they ever a blast, but I seem to get hurt more on these things than I ever have on anything else.

I currently still have the '86 Samurai, '05 R1, Pitbike, and than the 6.0L as a daily driver.

I've got a video of my F250, my latest zuke and a very short clip of one of my crashes at the track on the R1. They are all up on my youtube profile. Dont be shy to check it out.
YouTube - 5thelion's Channel

I know I've had a couple others in there somewhere just cant remember right now I'll try to think them up and post em when I remember.
