Have you ever had a few extra bucks laying around, and it was just burning a hole in your pocket? It doesn't happen to me much, but this December I decided to cash out some Mutual Bonds since I was losing my butt anyway. I figured if the money was going to disappear it might as well disappear at my discretion and at least net me a few items I have been wanting for around the Ranch and for my truck and my bikes.

I am new to this site, so I am not familiar with...

Diesel art - whod'a thunk?

Posted 12-22-2008 at 01:40 AM by dieselartist
My life as an artist started in first grade. A fourth grader was showing off her latest piece of art, a horse jumping from cliff to cliff at night with the moon, and I somehow got it in my head that if she could draw that, so could I. So I started drawing horses. Lots of them. I had horses coming out of my ears, my parents ears, my extended family's ears...you get the idea! I also drew people and Star Wars vehicles (my favorite movies and books!).

I fell in love with Yoshitaka Amano's...

How I ended up here...

Posted 12-22-2008 at 01:00 AM by dieselartist
Not how I ended up on DB, but how did a little thing like me end up with a big diesel. I used to think diesels were an elite group that I could never belong to. I had the elite part right

I've been a big fan of trucks since I was a kid. My parents said that when I was 8 or 9, I informed them that my first truck was going to be a Ranger XLT, although I know I had no idea what the XLT was for, but it probably sounded good at the time. Sure enough, when it came time to ditch the...

My Diesel.

Posted 12-19-2008 at 09:51 PM by dieseljunkie
My truck is a 2004.5 High Output Dodge Ram Cummins. Its a 4x4 quad cab, long bed. Its Molten red with a sliver lower stripe. My major upgrade has been to put Amsoil synthetic fluids all the way around in my truck. It also has 35x12.50x17 Pro Comp Extreme All Terrains, which I am very pleased with. My truck is my baby, although its been the unfortunate victim of a few dents and dings. Some of them were my fault, a couple of them were not. The first major problem happened ON MY WEDDING NIGHT!...

I sold my 97 12 valve in august of 07. I thought I no longer need a diesel so ill get something smaller…. I ended up getting a 98 4runner. What was I thinking I had it all of three months. Two of those months I was looking for a grail truck. Then one day im on craigs list and I see the truck Its in Atlanta and it was just posted. His price was a tad high but for 102K it was a steal I Called him up and made an offer. After some negotiating I had the truck. I met him in Memphis the next weekend. The...
