It sound like it's time for injectors. We have a fleet of t444e's in buses and long oil change intervals and not running fuel additive ruined injectors in most of the engines. We experienced the same symptoms as well as hard start in cold weather,no acceleration, noisier engine, and increased fuel consumption. The ones that got injectors had set no codes and ran like new after the injectors were changed.

hey there my guage is just a crappy vacuum guage temporarilly hooked up to see what pressure was. the potentiometer is a cool way to control the 10k mod. It is a volume control technically. i think you may need injectors. when i supply more fuel my turbo just howls. I have never changed them before but i think they are not to hard. maybe one of the sites sponsors has some for sale. I also dont know what you should pay for them maybe one of the other guys could chime in. once you get it running top notch I can help you with some power mods. hope you can get it running properly.

Doing injectors is not too bad in a truck, pulling the valve covers is the hardest part. at work we pay about $295 ea at the IHC place. The injectors from a pickup will work and are probably cheaper, just make sure the code on top is the same. AA,AB,AD and so on.

I have the same exact truck with the same exact problem described to a T but mine has 650,000 miles.I have checked everything there is to check i called the local international repair center they said bring it in to have it "re-tuned" and it would be fine. One thing i do know is that the turbo is completely controlled by rpm and fuel and make sure you run the proper oil it WILL make your problem worse.Except now it just died on me i think it isnt getting any fuel possibly the lift pump.Anyone know the fuel line diagram? Thanks in advance

It could be the CPS if it dies for no reason. If its never had injectors in those 650k it's probably due. Check the 94-97 powerstroke section, the earlier t444e are very similar and I think use the same fuel system. Those guys know more in depth about these engines than I do.
