Dave, I was wondering if there will ever be an R700 kit for the 2nd gens? I know I can make a 3rd gen set fit but what all will come in the upgrade kit? Is it just the turbo and hot pipe??... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Yes, eventually when the R&D table frees up we will release the 2nd gen kit, I do not have an ETA yet though. The upgrade kit will include the turbo, intake pipe, reducer sleeve, clamp, bracket and oil drain hose.

Thanks for the info Dave. I'm already thinking about more air
. Will there be a big difference between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen kits?

As far as I know, the 3rd gen kit will fit on the 5 and 6 speed 2nd gens. The auto trucks have a heat exchanger on the passenger side of the block that has to be removed and deleted in order to fit the kit. If you do that, you should be good to go.
Dave, correct me if I am wrong. |

The heat exchanger is definitly an issue on the auto but of course not on the manual. The guys that I have had feedback from all had different issues none of which were very difficult to over come, some fitting tweaks as the tolerances are tight and vary a bit from truck to truck an intake tube reducer sleeve is needed, that was can supply and I believe some oil supply or drain fittings. Jason, how did you discussion go with JT or all you still talking to him LOL |

I went back to a stock VP Dave. So far my experience in the reliability with the turned up VP's isnt good. Not to say yours isnt but I want more top end power that I wil get from an SO pump. One thing is for sure though, without the wire tapped this thing is a turd

There has been a lot of problems associated with the higher HP VP pumps. Our fuel lab spent a lot of time on this set up and feel they got the a good balance between power and reliability. Time will tell I guess?
