Default BANSHEE II, HE351VE Controller

Well guys I built a new controller that rivals my last one. Anyone who purchased my last controller (BANSHEE) can upgrade to the new one at my cost to manufacture them. Plus you'll keep the original controller!

Cell: 253 380 0055
email: steeddolan@gmail.com

The new controllers run $750 plus shipping, cost $200 more then my first generation controllers. However, the Banshee II are tunable with an adjustable automatic exhaust brake! These controllers are also manufactured, I was building them in my garage with a pissed off wife in the house.......

The kits come with the following:

1 x Banshee II HE351VE Turbo Controller (IP67 enclosure, reverse polarity protected, surge protected up to 60 volts, 12 and 24 volt compatible)
1 x 50 PSI Sensor
1 x Wiring Harness
1 x Metal Strap with Rubber insulation
1 x Auto Meter 3223 (1/8” (10ft) with Ferrules)

Wiring harness has a unused connector for Road Rage Gage LCD Display (Sold Separately) I am working with a custom Banshee display from Road Rage Gages. It'll display up to 50 PSI, turbo vane position, turbo RPM 190k, and EGT with the ability to data log and save to a SD card.

CAD drawling of the remote, the remote can be placed anywhere where you can adjust it as needed.

DRIVE PRESSURE: Allows you to have full manual control (Exhaust Brake cannot be engaged) from approximately 9CM^2 to 25CM^2. You could use this to lower drive pressure while cruising or, change your starting CM^2 higher than 9CM^2

MAX PSI: Changes the ratio between turbo actuation and turbo PSI. At max setting 50PSI it requires 50 PSI to actuate the turbo to 25CM^2. If you place the control to the lowest setting; 20 PSI, it requires 20 PSI to actuate the turbo to 25CM^2; linear positioning from 20-50 PSI.

BRAKE %: Adjusts the exhaust braking force from 0% (9CM^2) to 100% (3CM^2)

EXHAUST BRAKE: To operate the Exhaust brake function correctly two switches are required. Banshee II VGT Controller kit comes with one switch; mounted on the remote. However, the second switch needs to be supplied by the installer. The second switch works best attached to the accelerator pedal. Switch selection needs to be an N/O (Normally open) momentary switch. If the switch is attached to the accelerator pedal, when the operator comes off the accelerator. The switch will close the circuit allowing the exhaust brake to slow down the vehicle. When the operator presses on the accelerator the circuit will open allowing normal operation of the vehicle.

This will be ready this month, I am waiting on the manufactured wiring harness then ill be ready to sell them. Ill post videos on YouTube with the operation and installation of the Banshee II.

This video is the prototype for the Banshee II, the manufactured controllers wont look like this but it gives you the basic idea.

A little update on the exhaust brake feature

Mechanical engines i.e. 4BT, 6BT and other engines:
--- No change as stated above custom momentary switch must be installed somewhere desirable i.e back of accelerator pedal or other locations.

98.5-02 Dodge Cummins 24 Valve:
- Banshee II wiring harness will connect to a currently unused PIN on the engine ECU. when the brake function is pressed on the Banshee II remote, the engine ECU will send the engine brake signal to the controller activating the HE351VE exhaust brake.

03-06 Dodge Cummins ISB 5.9:
--- Banshee II wiring harness will come with two connectors to connect to unused pins on the ECU wiring harness

--- If engine is cold (below 170-175 degrees) the RCU exhaust brake switch will trigger the engine warm up function. This only works if the engine is idling and the vehicle is not moving. Once the engine reaches 170-175 degrees the engine ECU will turn this feature off.

--- Once the vehicle is moving and the RCU exhaust switch is engaged, the ECU will trigger the brake when you take your foot off the gas.

Comes with a power relay. Only wires you'll need to connect are positive, negative, ACC on and rig up a second switch for the brake.
