Ive got a pair of Hertz HX300s (12" 1200w max) inverted in a dual 1cu/ft per side sealed box (a little small hence the inversion) powered by a Hertz EP1D amp and it pounds pretty good.
I too am very surprised at how well this dodge is insulated from the factory, inside its pounding like a mofo, rearview mirror rattels off the windshield and ears are hurtin. then outside its hard to hear it at all with the windows up.
One thing i have to fix is a small rattle on the rear sliding window and it sounds like ive got a rattle in the rear drivers side, possibly the rear side window. -
Nice set up's, can't have a vehicle go without a bit of show too.
All I have right now is alpine 6x9's JL 6" doors with tweeters, and my "little" JL 8" W7 in a dual ported 2.9 cu ft box running off of a kicker 750W.1 it kicks pretty decent for the size of the sub.
As for the rear slider in your your truck ykdave my F-150 had the same problem, it was just because the felts had worn out. -
I got an MTX thunderform under my rear seat with (2) 10" Memphis car audio 15-MCP10D4 200w rms dual voice coil subs stuffed in it. I have a memphis 16-1000D class D single channel 1000RMS amp to power them.
Sounds awesome!!! Only thing is i am not good at setting up an amp. i gotta take it somewhere so they can set it up properly....
All i can say is I will never use anything other than Memphis car audio....
I have a 7" lcd flip out touch screen head unit, x2 10" Kicker Comp VR"S in box under rear seat, x2 1200 watt amps. under driver and passenger seat, highs and mids, capaciter bought yet not installed, and a PS2 ready to go in. This thing rocks. -
