I am wondering if it will run B100. I want to start makin my own. Me and a friend would like to run it and I was just wondering if a 6.4 would handle B100 or if not what % it will handle.

I would say hell no to bio in a common rail injected engine, you have no quality control system, now if you were say exxon/mobil making the bio i'd be content with what i'd be putting in the engine but until that is the case i'd be a bit scared

That and you have to refine all the fat out of it and filter all the crumbs and other crap from it. I strongly advise against B100 in that type of engine.

ok if B100 is a no go is there any % that you guys would feel safe running?

Oh and I am a chemical engineering student right now and we make bio in lab. I am pretty sure I can filter it down to make sure there is practically nothing in it. but then again it is a CR and anything in it will screw it up. so maybe B100 is a bad idea. but if you wouldnt mind answering the above question that would be great.

oh yea I know that. We just made a small batch in lab a few weeks ago at school and it looked bad when they poured it out of the separator. They just made the bio and didnt do any of the washing or drying. I was pretty sad when they got a good grade for that when it wasnt even close to being useful ha.
I am actually doing a project to try to get the school to start making there own bio for the work vehicles.
