JMO, FWIW
That's 1/4 psi pre compressor (turbo) and compression (piston/ chamber). I don't know what it would end up being at deto but I'm pretty sure more than 15 psi.

Remember to add your haz-mat placard on the truck..

and yes, Acetylene released into the air at 15psi or over will explosively combust,

Cummins manual recommends a mechanical (knife) air shutoff when running in the presence of any form of combustible fumes to kill the motor when it goes into runaway.

edit: why not propane?

I guess it might look just like af1cummins' avatar, except the flame ball will come from under the hood, follow the truck to a stop and continue to burn.

Acetalyn has a very low flash point and if he injects it before the turbo it will send a wastgate through radiator. Not saying after the turbo have a better result. But Every off the wall ideal has to have a starting point, And a few mishaps. I run acatone in my half ton, I thought that was nuts.

Well, you have the acetylene bottle unhooked, why not hook up the O2 tank now and give it a whirl, don't skimp on it though, crank it up to 20psi and see what happens

You probably had the bottle pressure down too low.....carnk up the acetylene to about 15-20psi....that should give you a boost.
