Default Lubro Moly Diesel Purge

Hey all,

I have a friend with a Nissan of some sort. Right hand drive, diesel. He was told to use this lubro moly Diesel purge to clean the injectors. You by pass the filter and have the injection pump suck this stuff in, recirculate the overflow back into the bottle, so all that is entering the injection pump is this diesel purge.

Ingredients are: 65% Diesel Fuel, approx. 25% Ethylhexyl nitrate, approx. 8% Petroleum Distilate, and approx. 1% 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene.

We did it last night and he says it made a big difference. His symptoms seemed like the glow plugs were not working; low power and white smoke while under load.

Has anyone here tried this?

Thanks!

Yes, that stuff is sold under the same brand and name in Germany in pro Retailer shops.

The use you described is for heavy symptoms. Usually you pour it into the fuel tank. Your friend has used cheap diesel or bad diesel a long time. He should change the fuel station if possible. Does he use Bio Diesel and regular Diesel mixed?? That happens also if you mix fuels.
That Petroleum Distilate, also known as Naphta is the solving agent that cleans the injector.

Injectors and VP's have very tight tolerances. Any dirt buildup will cause less performance or failure.
I bring my injectors once a year to have them checked for release pressure and beam pattern. I don't like to have a dripping injector. -

You should see what you can pick it up for.
It smells awfully like PowerService in the white bottle. -
