Were did you tap into the line to put your isolator? -

Mechanical gauge, line is tapped at the CP3. I never did fill the FP line with any type of liquid between the FP gauge and the isolator, its all air, but I do not think that would cause such a fluxiation in the reading. -

If it is to close to the pump it will cause it to jump and you really need to pump antifreeze in it to make it read acurate, it needs the resistance I was told when I did mine. -

Its as far from the pump as it can be, its on the CP3. I guess that I will pump antifreeze in it some time, I never had a problem with it with the stock pump. -

On my 24V mine was t-d out of the supply line with an 18" line before the isolator. If it is to close to the pumps it can get pulses in the fuel guage from the pump, at least on the 24Vs. -

Mine is out of the CP3 with a 36" line to the isolator. -

I added some more fuel and it quit doing it, I guess that I need to drop the tank again and look at the draw straw.

Make sure you get the straw about 3/8" from the bottom of the tank. Any closer than that and you run the risk of cavitating from the increased velocity. -

could have also bleed all of the air out now, I'd drive it for a while and see if you get it back again

It is very sparatic, does it whenever it feels like it wants to I guess. I also used a hose instead of the draw straw because I screwed up when drillng the hole and put it to close to the side of the tank, if I used the straw it would have been about 1/2" off the bottom of the tank to be cut level. I put the hose into the stock resivor/pick-up container and I think that it might have moved on me. I am going to drop the tank and try zip tieing it in place, if that does not work I have another tank here that just might get used and try it again. -

Whats a good FP reading, im seeing around 11 at idle and it drops down as low as 3 at full throttle. doesn't look normal to me. -

oh my
![]() I think it might have something to do with my draw straw then, sometimes when im driving itl climb up to 11 or 12 then shoot down to 9 psi on the highway. i think ill drop the tank this weekend and add an elbow the the draw tube and have a hose go to the rear of the tank with a Tee laying on the bottom sideways. i dont like the fact the the straw has to be so far from the bottom of the tank. right now its sitting 1/4 from the bottom, it may be cavitating but having the tube sitting higher just makes me go crazy about all the fuel i wouldn't be able to use... This weekend fo sho ill re-do the draw tube and make it draw from the very rear of the tank also. This could be the solution for my p0089 also. - |
