How do you shim the fuel pressure regulator? What do the shims look like and where you you purchase them?

Shimming the fitting with a 3/16 spacer behind the spring in the fuel regulator. This is located on the right hand side of the fuel filter. You will see a 3/4 brass nut there. The spring is inside there. Shimming will raise the fuel pressure and often give you a worthwhile increase in power and no one that I can recall has reported higher fuel consumption. -

Is this a mod someone would do with stock injectors and 250,000 miles on the engine? Except for a new downpipe and an air intake this thing is bone stock. Being a 5 Speed the truck is very slow off the line and doesn't come alive until 3rd gear. I'm looking for a little more poop! -
