A cheap fix is to add a front leaf, but the ride will be even worse.
I went with an Off Road Unlimited brand shackle reversing kit wich greatly improved the ride and coincidentally raised the front 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches. (too much). I compensated with rear air bags and had adjustability. My 97 srw sits nice at about 35 psi empty. It also rides better because I'm not bearing so much on the factory rear springs. I love the air bags especially when heavily loaded. With the reversing kit, they also recommend a drop pitman arm. The whole set-up is fairly expensive, but well worth it in my mind - if you drive it very much.

On my old '95 F350 I ran the Sky Manufacturing shackle reversal kit... Rode 100% better, and I kinda liked the front-up rake it gave the truck (it was only 1/4"-1/2" taller in front... hardly noticable.) I ran 37x12.5x17 MTRs on it and they didn't even rub! I didn't need a drop pitman arm either. IIRC, the kit was only like $399 or something, and it even included a track bar relocation bracket.

Worked out so well that I'd do it again if I ever get a similar truck!

Does Off Road Unlimited make the front shackle flip for a 1995 4x4 F-250 with the TTB front end?
