Exclamation High EGTs

Just installed my egt probe on the truck, on an 80 HP tune the truck says its hitting 1600 degrees @ 95mph. I have a S&B and a DPF delete so I would expect much lower temps... Is this normal or did I install the probe wrong or something.

what rpm were you at 95 Mph. were you cruising at the speed or were you still acceralating. i think the probe has to be a half of an inch out in the pipe or something like that. dont quote me on this though. also were did you mount the probe

Hmmm. I would hope not, even though I think my delete kit is a POS (BADP) The edge is supposed to notify me of the truck entering regen as well

i dont know cummins real well so i was trying to cover the basics. i would check on the regen. that could defeintely do it to your temps. high speed along with high revs plus with a regen will make crazy temps
