Just installed my egt probe on the truck, on an 80 HP tune the truck says its hitting 1600 degrees @ 95mph. I have a S&B and a DPF delete so I would expect much lower temps... Is this normal or did I install the probe wrong or something.

what rpm were you at 95 Mph. were you cruising at the speed or were you still acceralating. i think the probe has to be a half of an inch out in the pipe or something like that. dont quote me on this though. also were did you mount the probe

Hmmm. I would hope not, even though I think my delete kit is a POS (BADP) The edge is supposed to notify me of the truck entering regen as well

i dont know cummins real well so i was trying to cover the basics. i would check on the regen. that could defeintely do it to your temps. high speed along with high revs plus with a regen will make crazy temps

if your in it that hard at 95 that engine is gonna be workin pretty hard and pushing some fuel so it could be fine...i dont know if the new 6.7 run hotter then the previous models but that is a possibility

Yeah... But thats only with an 80 horsepower tune and plenty of airflow... what would injectors or a smarty do? 2000 degrees?
