Default looking to buy 2012 Ram 6.7 Cummins

So i''m looking into getting 12 6.7 Cummins, like to know if anyone has had problems/ issues with truck it's gonna be for my mom so it be her first diesel, i know that mpg it that great on them anyway but the plan is to tow a four place enclosed snowmobile trailer and possible a travel trailer and maybe throw goose neck for the horse trailers, are the newer 6.7 better with deletes done to them? i'm use to my 03 5.9 witch i wish you could get that on the newer trucks. any help with would be great not a really big fan of the new truck with DEF on them reason i want a Pre-DEF truck, reasons being i don't really want Gm or ford that matter ram is first choice i like the truckness of it i don't want Dressed up barbie diesel that it hides the diesel sounds

Also probaby would do the EGR/DPF delete with a tuner what would be the good set up for it, don't spend alot money to do the deletes maybe $2,000 max for deletes any other recomended deletes ?

I own a 03 and a 12, 3500. I like the 03 the best. Rides better, mirrors in the 12 are not really true to the eye. It makes it hard to judge distance. In the 12 there is a slight delay when you take your foot off the throttle than hit it again. The 03 is a little better on fuel. Also I like the floor in the back seat of the 03, lays flat. I personally like the 4 speed automatic in the 03 than the 6 speed automatic in the 12. Just less shifting and the 4 speed works for me fine. I use it for work up steep logging roads, loaded down with sometimes 4000 lbs. I haven't used the 12 for work yet but I am curious if it will always be shifting going up hills. It does have manual mode though.
I like the heated steering wheel in the 12. Very nice when cold out every vehicle in winter should have it. Heated seats could care less about. I have the H&S mini max in the 12. Deleted the soot cooker, before mileage was terrible now not too bad. Plus the oil instantly turns black after an oil change with the egr working. H&S disables it, much better now. The power in the 6.7 is unreal way better than the 5.9, both in stock trim. I believe the 6.7 puts out around 150 ft/lbs more torque. My biggest complaints of the 12 is the ride, mirrors, and delay in throttle after releasing the throttle, fuel mileage sucks if you don't do the pdf delete.
