Default $14000-15000 off a brand new Dodge 2500

I've read a few places where people were claiming they saved 14-15k off MSRP on a new Dodge diesel.
If you bought your truck brand new please let me know how much you saved.
Let us know whether or not you traded-in a vehicle and how much you got for your trade-in.
If I can save 14k off MSRP I may buy a new SLT without all the bells and whistles.

Thanks

i got 10k off my '12 longhorn edition and probly could have gotten a little more if i had pressed for it. i didnt trade my truck in bc they didnt wanna give me much for it.

i would recommend you get on cars.com (or similar sight) and find the truck you want then call the dealership its at and ask to speak to a sales manager. in my case my dad financed the truck for me (he was the person that gave me the loan) so i was able to say i will pay X and can have you the money when i pick up the truck.

i would also recommend fudging the truth. when i bought my truck i told the dealership where i was buying it that my wife (who doesnt exist) found a truck she liked a lot better at a different dealership (there was no other truck) and was going to call and make an offer on it in 5 min so i had to know NOW if we had a deal on this truck or not.

I bought my Laramie in August and got them 12 grand down from MSRP, theres also the NoCahrgeDiesel promotion so I got mine for the same price as an SLT. After modding it though I'm right back to MSRP, guess I got my mods free of charge!

Just go to one dealer and get them to give you their rock bottom (which it never truely is) and go to another dealer and see if they will beat it. One usually does.

I've bought two new ones, a 2007.5 I got just over 10,000 off and a 2011 I got just under 11,000 off. Bought both over the internet. Flew out and drove them home. You can use the internet to find your truck and then make your deal from there. I found at least three dealers both times and got prices from all. Told them up front what I was doing. No trade in just buying their truck. It has worked good for me twice now. Hoping not to have to buy another one.

sorry forgot to tell you they are both Laramie 3500 duellies.

Just wanted to revive this thread.
Has anyone been able to get $13,000 off MSRP or more?
It is safe to say most dealers will do 12,000 .. that is a pretty standard discount if you negotiate.
Several people online claimed 13k off MSRP.. ONE guy said 14k off.

I'll will settle for 12k off if I have to, that is a sure thing.
But, if I can get that extra 2k off by holding out I will. Since we're moving toward the 2nd quarter of 2013 I imagine there are some strong deals 2012 models NOW.
Sometimes they will lose money on a unit because they are more concerned about the total number sold.

from my understanding (and i could be wrong) the 2013 models are getting urea (exhaust fluid) so the 2012 will be really popular for those of use who know about diesels and wasnt to avoid the emissions equipment.

So is that to say no more DPF? Or will this be added on top of the DPF?

You still have a DPF with urea but the amount of regens is reduced thus saving fuel.

The 13's getting the DEF is a blessing. The mpg gains will far out way the cost of the DEF
