Well I'm just trying figure out what else I need To do to my 08 Cumms other than H&S mini Max tuner dpf delete, egr/cooler delete and a straight pipe with 8" tip with AFE intake. Its going n the shop on Thursday to get all of it installed and some of the videos I've watched on youtube the 6. 7l r rolling coal n then some wont at all. Now do o have to go as far as new injectors/ intercooler n ect.?? Or will it blow some smoke after I get the parts pit on as is? If someone could tell me what I need to do to this governored truck. I had a 98 n it didn't take much more than to stomp on the gas. Hopefully it will come Thursday after it gets all these after market parts on..... someone please give me some advice on This.

Here's what you gotta do
1. Get yourself an extra long tow bar
2. Buy a Powerstroke
3. Get a bunch of old tires and a gallon of diesel
4. Hook the Powerstroke up behind you on the tow bar
5. Load tires in bed of powerstroke, pour diesel over tires.
6. Ignite and tow it down the road, she'll smoke like a freight train

Ford went to the 6.7??? whaaaaa..... Ford 6.7 is not a cummins, its a Ford Built Engine and last I checked it was still a V8 Diesel. The 6.7L Cummins has been out way before it was introduced to dodge. If you want smoke de tune it..... Because your tuning it for power and if you want power you dont want smoke. Yes this sounds like a communist comment but reality if you can get your truck to where your blowin no smoke then your burnin all your fuel and your gettin the most bang for your buck outta 4 dollar diesel... I love my cummins, but by no means did ford switch to a cummins, I wish they would but thats never gonna happen. Your somewhat in the wrong forum to want your diesel to smoke, we want power, and if you want power you dont want smoke.... Once you get your truck to smoke you gonna dislike has laggy the turbo is and how much slower your rpms will raise compared to no smoke. My two cents man..

 

im sorry man but coming on here and acting like a fool isnt really going to get you anywhere and especially get advise from us.. but maybe thats just my thinking.
im the young guy (20) that should be old. i wont say a puff of smoke here and there is a bad thing and i wont lie at times i dont mind seeing it AKA when my 97 is hooked to a sled but one thing that absolutely drives me crazy is these idiots that think its cool to run around blacking out every intersection or little car they possibly can. just put yourself in their seat thats behind you, im pretty sure you wouldnt like it to much. these inconsiderate people are the reason that we at times get a bad rap. trust me i am no tree hugger, as i grew up in a logging and farming family but sometimes you just need to grow up. im not trying to pick on you to hard but maybe if you came into this forum with a little better attitude you might have gotten a little more respect from us.. and by the way i love my 09 6.7 cummins reason for that is you can have mildly built and be able to take off from a light and not worry about stopping every rig behind you because of smoke filled air

 

6.7l best built diesel ever built? A 5.9l 12V is a better engine in terms of longevity and fuel economy while having more then enough to pull with the 6.7l was introduced for it's displacement to help with Emissions. Also Uh that POS 6.7l ford has is not even close to a 6.7l cummins. The only thing the ford n dodge 6.7l's have in common is displacement a 6.7 powerstroke is a v8 diesel with a common rail fuel system with 32 valve engine and a variable geometry turbo but if I remember right they also have variable degree timing aswell. The 6.7l cummins is an inline 6 common rail 24v engine with a variable geometry turbo. Do your research first then start yapping away at long respected forum members.

Now I did skip a few pages so some else may have already said what I just did but I had to say my part. My 93 rolls the coal pretty good but I wanna get a bigger turbo to clear most of it up. Rolling coal everywhere is wha gives us diesel guys suck a bad rep, I try not to step on mine in town to not be a dink n smoke people out.
